Treat Yo Self

My view as I walked over the bridge from LIC to Greenpoint on Friday evening. Um, yeah!
It didn't rain Friday evening, and I somehow managed to motivate myself to head to Greenpoint to do the Greenpoint Gallery Night. It was a lovely solo date! I toddled around Greenpoint for two hours, went to five of the "galleries" (not being judge-y, only using the quotes because one was a bar and one was a wine shop. Def not complaining), checked out the art, bought a cheap bottle of red (that I have yet to open), and treated myself to a very tasty IPA, before busing it home, and heading to bed. Such an exciting Friday night for me! No, but seriously, I've been so busy and knew I had a busy day the next day, so I pretty much crashed out around 1030pm or so. It was good.

Found walking around Greenpoint on Friday. Well done, vandals, well done.
I wasn't asked to come to callbacks for the upstate theatre company I auditioned for on Friday, so I taught Saturday morning Stretch Therapy, treated myself to a bagel and coffee, and booked it home to clean up a bit before teaching a private with Jess. Then, to celebrate her bday the day before, we got manis! Fun times!

After we split up, I headed to Midtown for my As You Like It audition, which went very well, and I spent the rest of Saturday vegging. I am almost caught up on House of Cards (which I told myself I had to finish before I could start Daredevil). And, once again, I passed out pretty early.

Saturday evening I received email invitation to the As You Like It callbacks Sunday afternoon, as well as a request that I cover a Sunday yoga class for a sick instructor. I agreed to both, so I (finally) got to sleep in a bit Sunday morning before heading to the 115pm Vinyasa class (that means I taught 4 classes at Slope last week, AND the private with Jess. Next Friday's paycheck it gonna be NICE!), then I tried to get from Park Slope to Midtown in 45 minutes (I managed to do it in 50, which is pretty damn impressive)! Although the callback went well, I only read once, so I don't think there's gonna be an offer... Oh well. Gotta keep putting myself out there!

The trains were running wonky all weekend, they're always worse on Sundays, and I had rehearsal at 6pm in LIC, so I figured I might as well head straight out to Queens, and see if I could find a sports bar near the rehearsal space to watch some March Madness basketball and kill two hours. It was great plan. I found this awesome bar that was playing the games (got to watch the end of the Notre Dame/SFA game. HOLY CRAP! So good!), and noshed on a great burger while talking to the Irish bartender. At some point during the time I was in the bar, it started snowing... so I had to walk through it get to rehearsal. Ugh. But I made it to the space, and we all rehearsed like crazy (I GET TO FIGHT! It's super short, but STILL! I get to play!).

Traveling between LIC (really Queens in general) and Brooklyn is such a bitch that it took me over an hour to get home (UGH), but since I was released early, I got back just after 10. Not too bad. In preparation for the music video shoot on Monday, I went ahead and packed my entire closet (including shoes and jewelry) making the heaviest bag imaginable... But options!
