Off Season But Not Off My Mind

Found this in a coffee shop bathroom the DAY we resigned Kearse. Loving it!

The Hawks may not be playing right now, but that doesn't mean that I'm not following the changes happening this off season. And one of the big ones is that we resigned Chop Chop Kearse! Yay! Hometown hero is returning to the Hawks! He fits so nicely into our scheme that I'm CRAZY happy to have him come back (plus, who's been more clutch in the big games than Jermaine?). I am a little bummed that he didn't get the payout I know he was looking for, but... What can you do?

We also resigned Big Tuba, which is HUGE! He snapped up that Peterson fumble in the playoff game against Minnesota; The turning point leading to the only touchdown of the game, our only lead, and, eventually, the win! Gotta love shoring up the D line!

We've picked up two OT's and a DT, as well. None of them were names I recognized, but I trust PC/JS to get the job done in the off season/draft.

Not everything has been sunshine and roses, though. We lost Bruce Irvin to the Raiders (to go along with Malcolm Smith--our SB XLVIII MVP that they picked up last off season... They're looking good over there. I say they make it deep into the playoffs by 2018), and Brandon Mebane is heading to the Chargers... so no more belly rolls... Hoping we can keep Okung, but I know that he is shopping around (with no agent, though, so that might work in our favor...).

Anyway... In case you were wondering, yes I AM still obsessed. Even in the off season.
