She Loves Lotto Luck

Saw the matinee on Saturday of Roundabout's She Loves Me. It was very entertaining.
So, I had a run of good luck on Saturday when I woke up and did what I've started doing everyday, go into Today Tix and enter the lottery for all of the shows that offer one. So far, nothing has hit, but on Saturday I won two tickets to the She Loves Me matinee (starring Zachary Levi, Laura Benanti, and Jane Krakowski) for less than $20/each! YEEEEES! I'd never seen it, but always heard good things and there is DEFINITELY a role in there for me (Jane Krakowski's part, of course)!

Of course, I went ahead and claimed them, and then went onto the facebooks to see if I could find someone to go with me. My thought was, well even if I can't get someone to come see this show, a $40 Broadway ticket is still MUCH better than the regular price! So proud of myself. And now I'm gonna keep entering all the lottos and hopefully (HAMILTON) one (HAMILTON) will (HAMILTON) stick (HAMILTON)!

My friend Lindsey, who I met doing the 10-minute play festival with Greenhouse Ensemble, ended up being my date and it was perfect! I had no plans on Saturday, so it got me up, doing yoga, and outta the apartment to see a show. Plus, I was home by 530pm, so yay!

The show was really fun. It's definitely a classic musical comedy, but the script and score are really strong (it's the story You've Got Mail is based on). Plus, the performances were great. Glad to be able to see it. And glad to see it for so cheap! I enjoy this lotto business. I think I'm gonna keep entering them!

Depending on this temp job, I might try to get in to see Noises Off for cheap-y, too. They close on the 13th, but there are $40 day of tickets at the box office if I can get there by 930am. Especially for the Wednesday matinee. Also, gonna keep entering the lotto for that show.
