There and Back Again

Found during my walk to the audition. Spring is slowing blooming...

I made it! Left at 11:10am and got back at noon, giving me ten whole minutes to read, relax, and stuff my face (because, of course, this is the first job I've temped where they've expressly noted it is not OK to eat at the desk. Of. Fucking. Course.). But I did it! Actually, super proud of that, too.

The audition went OK. Definitely wish I would have had some time to warm up the top of my range. I sang "Gimme Gimme", which is such a great song for me...if I've warmed up. I float into my head voice three times and when it's there and warm and good, it's flawless. You can't even tell that I'm switching from chest to head and back again, but... This time it was not so smooth. Definitely a vocal change. Ugh. I hate that!

But the monologue went well, and they DID ask me if I was available tomorrow, so I'm taking that as a good sign. They're making callback calls tonight, so I guess I'll know soon whether I'm teaching Jess a private after my 830am Stretch Therapy class, or I'm glamming up and heading to a callback.
