Thank the gods I am not working at Stout today. No, really. Seriously. Thank them. Not only is it St Paddy's Day, but it is also the first day of March Madness. I cannot IMAGINE the fresh hell it would be working this horrible conflagration of hellish events in an Irish Sports Bar. In FiDi. OMG, no. I woke up this morning with this realization and am just so happy to be sitting in an office right now. Breathing a sigh of relief and sending love and support to all my server friends (and bar owners) on this day. May the tips be plentiful and the green beer stay in its glass.

That being said, Yay St Paddy's Day! Apparently the parade goes right by my office because Grand Central was already a shitshow before 9am this morning. Didn't see anyone drunk (yet), but lots of green clothes and people already lining up for the parade that I think starts around noon. I'm not sure exactly what the route is, but I know it goes by right around where I am...

I also am always amused as I get dressed for St Paddy's Day because even though green is my favorite color, I really don't own much green clothing. And what I do own falls into two categories: Harry Potter related (I AM a Slytherin after all) or Seahawks related (oh yeah, lime green, baby). Since I'm working in an office today, I went with the Slytherin tie (also wore my scarf) instead of any of my Hawks stuff. Also rocking green button earrings which you can't really see in the pic.

I did buy a kelly green Shamrock tank at Target when I was there over the weekend, but I decided this morning that it was too casual for this office environment. I'll still wear it for yoga though, so that's good at least.
