A Little Bit of Everything

Newfie butt in the East Village! So cute. Reminds me of when I was taking care of Solomon.
Things have been crazy. I mean, I knew they would be and I said they would be, but it has been insanity. I looked back at my schedule, and this last Sunday (Easter) was the first day in two weeks that I didn't have anything on the books. Naturally, I did next to nothing, lounging around, reading my new book and watching Netflix. With a little bit of yoga thrown in for good measure (obvi). It was glorious.

Thursday night I was debating doing stand-by for Richard II, but after I such a late night out on Wednesday, heading home to crash just sounded too good to pass up. Especially since I had a 9am audition Friday morning. It was good choices. I am pretty sure I was in bed by 10 or so... Sleeeeeeeep.

Friday I ROCKED that audition, I mean, absolutely KILLED it. Like, surprised I haven't heard from them because I left expecting I'd need to start planning for my summer in Maine killed it. But, I haven't, so... assuming that's a no-go.

After the audition, I hit up a morning yoga class and then just sat in Starbucks memorizing lines until my extras call for the student film I agreed to do. In the future I'm gonna have to be pickier with my film choices. That, honestly, felt like a waste of my time, but just as each audition gets me face-time with casting directors, and helps me feel more prepared for the next one, each small film I work on helps me gain confidence and experience being on-camera. Trying to see the glass half-full here...

Plus, when I was sitting outside at the Starbucks (it was so muggy on Friday. It kept threatening to rain, but was also crazy WARM. And when it finally did rain, it was a torrential, almost tropical downpour. Over almost as soon as it started. It was great), a giant Newfie walked by with its owner! So cute and SO HUGE! Def the biggest dog I've ever seen in NY. I just wanted to hug and love it!!!!! Forever. I'm such a dog person.

On my walk to the subway from my class last night, I got to have golden retriever puppy time! She passed me and immediately walked toward me for pets and kisses and I just BEAMED. Thanking her owners over and over again! Golden retriever puppy pets! THE BEST!!!!!! My smile was plastered on my face the whole ride home!
