Skating By

What's this? Oh nothing. Just a professional ice skater working her routine on the public rink outside Rockefeller Center. No biggie...

Even though today was supposed to be all warm and 70s, the sun decided to hide, so I don't believe it hit those temps. Not saying it wasn't "eat lunch outside" weather, cause it was. It was just "wear your coat and scarf as you eat lunch outside" out there.

In venturing out to find a place to sit and eat I naturally went toward the channel right by the ice rink and happened to see this gorgeous ice skater doing her thing. Pretty cool. I didn't realize that it wasn't just free skate all the time on that rink. I mean, she had a costume and music and everything. People even applauded when she finished (I had sat down before then. I mean, I only have a half-hour to stuff my face and take a break, and eating a salad standing up is really difficult). So cool.

This city, man. This. City.

PS Can we all agree that the fact that I got to make two posts about skating in one day is just too perfect? I mean TWO SKATING PUNS in ONE DAY! It's just stuPUNdous!
