Dump It to Krumpit

I hate Trump, but I'm so glad that I live in a world (and a city) where this exists. SO. GOOD.
After the show on Friday, a bunch of Seattle peeps all went out to grab drinks and catch up, and, because they had worked together on Oklahoma in Seattle four or five years ago, Kyle, the actor who played Harpo in Color Purple, came out with us. We briefly met at a cast party for Oklahoma, but I did not expect him to remember me, but he did. Small wins! We went to this hopping post-show Broadway hangout where lots of musical stars go when they finish their shows and we actually got to see some of them (Sarah Bareilles was there--Brandon got to meet her--since her show, Waitress, is in previews AND Daveed Diggs, who plays Lafayette & Jefferson in Hamilton, was also there). It was pretty cool (I said out loud while internally freaking out). Guys, I really heart this city!

Unfortunately, after seeing a 2.5 hour show, waiting around for Kyle, and finally picking a bar to go hangout in, by the time we landed at said bar it was already nearing 1230 or 1am. Needless to say, I got home late. Mostly because I always do the "I'll just take the subway" thing, when I KNOW I should just cab it! Dangit Gina! There are times when sleep is more important than saving $30!

My 730am alarm on Saturday morning was not a welcome sound. But I was good (on only three hours of sleep--UGH! Not being hungover helped...), and got up to go take Hannah's Stretch Therapy class so I could see what and how she teaches and try to tailor my class a little more that direction while I'm subbing for her the next three months. I then grabbed my usual celebratory coffee and bagel from the shop down the street, and headed home to prepare for my 1pm audition.

The audition went great! It was for the company that teaches kids dance and music classes and they loved me! I started training with them Sunday and Monday and, once my schedule free up again, will continue my training next week. I'm excited to work with kids and start teaching! And in my field! Yes! And a flexible schedule! Yes!

Although the weather was not as warm as it was earlier in the week, Saturday was sunny, so after my audition near Columbus Circle, I headed to Central Park, which is where I saw the Anti-Trump demonstration. They were shouting, "Dump! Trump! (He's a piece of shit)" and carrying the lil Trump poop emoji signs. It was hilarious. So, obvi, I took a picture. Central Park was nice, but the wind picked up, and my phone wasn't receiving texts, so I mistakenly assumed the friend I was supposed to meet was bailing on me... Yeah, I went home and was in bed by 930pm Saturday night...
