Livin the Life

Current job. Working at a non-profit recruiting firm on the 21st floor. With a south-facing view. Yes, please!

I love it when I work somewhere with windows. Lots of windows. And ones near me. Temping means I am usually filling in for the receptionist and that can often mean hanging out in the middle of the building, near the entrance and the elevators. And far away from any natural light. So, when I work in an office like the one I'm at for the rest of the week, with windows, and an open floor plan, and white floors and walls, it feels like I actually get to see this beautiful city around me! YAAAAY!

The girl I'm covering for is a stage manager and costume designer who is currently "on vacation" working tech for a show she designed that's opening on Friday. Needless to say, we got along during training yesterday, and when I took off, she asked if she could add me on facebook (I said yes).

I feel like SO MUCH has happened since I last posted a week ago(!!!). Seriously, so much. I'm sure I'll go into more details in other posts, but the overview is: 3 auditions, rehearsal, (took) 3 yoga classes, (taught) 3 yoga classes, saw a Broadway show, hungout with a Broadway actor (WHO MIGHT HAVE HAMILTON CONNECTIONS!!!!), hungout with Dani and the Lizard Boy crew, drank beer and whiskey (whoops! But only one day!), brunched, started training for a program that teaching kids music and dance, scheduled 2 more auditions, got cast in a music video... I think that's it. For now...

So yeah! Things! And stuff! I feel like I've just been so crazy busy. Everyday is filled with work, or yoga, or rehearsal, or teaching, or auditioning, or seeing a show with little or no time to eat or sleep. The rest of this week and the start of next show no sign of stopping, so here I go!
