Self-Promotion Fail

Outside the office where I worked last week. No biggie.
Before I headed to gallery night in Greenpoint last Friday, I called Dad to check in and go over more details of their May trip to NY. I was just pacing on the sidewalk outside the office bulding and I happened to look up because I liked the architecture of one of the buildings, and I suddenly how close I was to the Chrystler Building. So beautiful! I feel like all I had last week were, "Holy crap, I live here!" moments with the weather and the architecture and the sunsets and the views. I'm gonna go ahead and give it to springtime in NY. It's just so gd magical!

Yesterday I spent all day in Brooklyn, but very little time at home. I was at a bar in Williamsburg for the "Long Limousines" shoot from noon to 7pm (actually, I got there a little early because one of my favorite coffee shops is down the street and I wanted to make sure I was caffeinated before heading into only my second time on camera). They made me look so pretty, too! I came with a clean face and dirty hair and the hair girl curled my hair a bit (as she told me how much she loved my look, and that, when she saw my headshot as one of the girls they were considering, she told her producer fiance that they had to use me! YAY!), and then because I was rocking a 20's-meets-60's shift dress, they makeup girl did me up in a brown smokey eye with a dark pink lip. I, of course, forgot to take any selfies... I did contact the director asking for any stills he has from yesterday, just to see if he knows of any because a lot of the other girls were selfie-ing like crazy (another time where I was definitely one of, if not, THE oldest girl in the room. Pretty sure the guys are about my age, but the other chicks were definitely all early 20's).

They had about an hour left of shooting when I had to peace out (what a fun way to make $50!) to get to Park Slope for my class, but I think I am featured in a number of shots, and BONUS, was the only redhead and one of only two girls with short hair! Unique look FTW! The video is gonna be ridiculous and over the top. And you can bet that when I have the YouTube (or vimeo or whatever) link, I will be posting it on the blog for all of you to see. Cross your fingers that I don't make too many bizarro faces... Since most of the video is just us dancing around...

Class was fun yesterday. Three lovely ladies, and one new body to teach. I even got to the gym with enough time to wash all the makeup off my face, and sit in the sauna for ten minutes or so. Trust me, the shower took when I got home from class was well-deserved.

Today through Thursday I am back at Rockefeller Plaza answering phones and running reports. It's been quiet so far today, and should remain that way since Sunday is Easter and a lot of people took this whole week off. The only reason why I'm not working here on Friday, is because the whole office is closed. I like working here. The office environment is nice and there are only five people in the office. Plus, they have snacks. And they give me more to do than just sitting here taking up space, answering the phone when it rings. I always appreciate that.

Plus, it looks like I might have some more auditions on Friday, so I appreciate having the availability to go to them!
