Never Read the Comments

True. Story. So many gd opinions...
So, when you do a nude version of a Shakespeare show in Central Park and it gets national and international coverage, the internet comment sections of the articles, go nuts! Naturally, we wanted to respond somehow to all these insane commenters (and not, god forbid, by actually commenting on the articles ourselves), so tomorrow night, we're having a reading of some of the best comments at a bar in Midtown. And I cannot wait.

First of all, I get to see all my Tempesters! And it's been WAAAAY too long since I've seen them. And then! We get to read these absurd comments aloud. And, of course, judge them. Harshly. Two of our cast are out of town, so we're going to Skype them into it, but I am pretty sure a decent chunk of us are going to be there. Now, I just hope that we have some audience.

A friend of mine, who is a filmmaker, is going to bring his handheld camera to film some of the reading, and then later, when we're less busy, maybe get people together to film it "mean tweet" style, and hopefully, get some more internet traction...

Guys! I am obsessed that this show has more traction than just our two small performances! How fun that it almost has a life of its own! Now, I'm just crossing my fingers that I get to revive this character in Minneapolis later this summer...
