| None of the bikes I've been looking at are anywhere NEAR this cute. Or this new. Ugh. Buying a bike in NY is a nightmare... |
But I want something I can use to ride to Prospect Park and Kosciusko Pool and probably to and from Slope Fitness. You know, just tooling around Brooklyn. Fun times. It's not like I'm gonna go crazy, but the occasional trip across a bridge into Manhattan isn't outta the question. I just don't wanna get burned. I'm super worried I'll drop $150 on a bike that needs some work, and then find out that the parts are all obsolete, and I just bought a junker... Ugh. I dunno. There's a recycled bike place in Williamsburg that sells refurbished bikes for pretty cheap, and I think I might try that out on Sunday afternoon. I would feel better about buying a bike that a mechanic has gone over than just buying it from a rando on craigslist...
Ugh. I just don't KNOOOOOOW. I wish I knew someone in the city who knew about bikes, then I'd bug them to come and help me out. I mean, in the grand scheme of things $150 isn't THAT much money, but it is if I end up buying something unusable.
I just, I want to ride my bicycle, and so, with that sentiment, I leave you with this video. Because this song is stuck in my head. And now it's in yours, too. You're welcome.
